Viennese Classics are at Is Sanat! One of Europe’s most distinguished chamber orchestra, The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen salutes three important figures of the classic era. Renowned for its unique and refreshing style of musical interpretation, combined with an unerring instinct for imaginative, well thought-out programs, The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen caused a stir by performing the complete cycle of all nine Beethoven symphonies in Paris, at the Salzburg Festival, and at the Beethovenfest in 2009. As New York Sun declared “The authoritative Beethoven orchestra of our day”, the orchestra will take the stage under the baton of British conductor Ivor Bolton. Chief Conductor of the Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg since 2004, Bolton performs at Salzburg festival each year and has worked with many of the UK’s principal symphony orchestras, as well as with leading orchestras throughout the world. The soloist of the concert is distinguished Turkish pianist Gulsin Onay who is described by German press as “…she convinces not only through her sensational technical mastery, but also through a rare combination of musical intelligence and perceptivity...”. Onay\'s subsequent, truly international, career has spanned 68 countries across all continents, from Argentina to Japan and she has given concerts in the major musical centers of the world. An exceptional pianist, endowed with virtuosic brilliance and boundless energy, Gulsin Onay has recorded 20 albums that illustrate the breadth of her repertoire as well as her interpretive power. She is also acknowledged worldwide as the finest interpreter of the music of A. Adnan Saygun.
