One of the finest chamber orchestras in the world, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields is coming together with the young virtuoso of the violin, Jenine Jansen. Renowned for its polished and refined sound, rooted in outstanding musicianship and over 500 recordings in its 55 years of history, the orchestra has always gained great appreciation from its audience around the globe. Having a unique structure that enables them to perform in combinations ranging from a chamber group to a symphony orchestra, the Academy became the first and only orchestra to be awarded the Queen’s Award for Export. Academy of St Martin in the Fields performs some 100 concerts around the world each year, with as many as 15 tours each season. As one of the indispensible of Is Sanat, the orchestra will accompany Janine Jansen, a truly exciting and versatile artist whose performances leaves audiences spellbound and critics searching for superlatives. Jansen works regularly with the Royal Concertgebouw, Chicago Symphony, The Philadelphia, Cleveland, London Symphony, Mahler Chamber and NHK Symphony orchestras, as well as the Berliner Philharmoniker and New York Philharmonic. Having an exclusive recording contract with Decca, Jansen’s each one of her previous five albums has been awarded a Platinum Disc for sales in The Netherlands. Along with Bartok and Mozart -the specialization of Academy- Jansen’s concerto interpretations masterly treated by her brilliant technique will give you a different Mozart experience.
