Ilker Altun, the Director General of Eko Fair Co. said, "We could somehow understand why an equestrian fair was not being organized in Turkey, but when we got into the business, we understood once again that it is necessary to be a successful fair organization company as well as to have a team and contacts in horse industry."
EQUIST Horse and Equestrian Fair, held on 13-15 April 2012 for the first time in Turkey, attracted great interest. At the fair, a wide range of products were exhibited under the categories such as; horse and equestrian equipment, horse care and nutrition products, horse health supplies, stable, ménage, pasture and haulage equipment and works of art. The biggest international participation rates were obtained from Germany, France and U.A.E. Animated by shows, expositions, conferences, special offerings and guests, EQUIST also stood out by visitor numbers. EQUIST went far beyond the expectations with 7.570 visitors from 21 different countries including U.A.E., Spain and Russia.
EQUIST was quite impressive with a rate of 49,4 percent international exhibitors. The Horse Parade, Dance with Horses and Cavalry War Track shows performed by horse-riding acrobat and choreographer Janbi Ceylan and his team drew applause from the audience and became the center of interest of the national press. Right along with the conferences and seminars where worldwide known authorities took part, equine dental technician and certificated farrier Richard Klauber\'s Horse Dentistry and Live Hot Horseshoeing shows and Turkish show jumping Champion for four times Alev Sarc\'s Natural Horsemanship presentation drew great interest.
