Is Sanat opens the new season with Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra and pianist Emre Sen, introduced by the Italian press as the "Devilish Angel of the Piano” after winning the first prize in the 5th International Competition of Rome. Succeeding to prove to itself as one of the leading symphonic orchestras in Turkey with its performance quality and powerful interpretations, Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra gave many successful concerts at home and abroad from its first season, making a brilliant start with the interpretations of the Beethoven Symphonies. with the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Sascha Goetzel who brought many innovations to the orchestra’s repertoire and vision since 2009 the orchestra focused on becoming one of best symphonic orchestras in Europe. In January 2010 BIPO released its first international CD of Respighi, Hindemith, Schmitt under Onyx in Europe and Turkey and later that year in the United States, to international critical acclaim. The soloist of the concert, Emre Sen has won various prizes in international competitions especially in Italy between 1995 and1998. Instructed at the Bilkent University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts in 2006-2011, the accomplished pianist gives concerts at home and abroad in addition to his studies in Gestalt Psychotherapy since 2000.
